Born in southern spain, i've been moving and squatting around europe where i first got in contact with feminism lesbianism transpédégouine and DIY art. Keeping on moving i arrived in montreal 3 years ago with a bag full of my zines and art. Since then, i've been growing into queer and anti-oppression artivism. Exhibitions of my work, specially "genderpoo" project and videos have been held in contemporary art museums, radical queer festivals, new york video galleries, classrooms, autonomous social centres in europe and north america and in friends' houses.Sometimes my works are signed under the pseudo lolagouine: riot coco and lolagouine are the same person. I identify myself as an hispanophone genderqueer immigrant artist who like working with people and creating interacting and questioning art.
Art that makes questions, art that is fun but serious at the same time, art that is not afraid of being beautiful and making people feel good. Art by and for oppressed communities (racialized, queer, immigrants, sex workers, non-abled body, etc) who are fed up and decide to speak loud and clear.
